Exchange Meeting for International Students and Residents
There are many international students living in Kitakyushu City and the surrounding areas, that despite their busy schedules, hope to interact more with the locals in the area they reside in, and would like people to know more about their countries. The Kitakyushu International Association has made available a platform for our exchange volunteer families (registered local families) and international students to interact with each other and deepen mutual understanding by offering an exchange event twice a year, where cultural exchanges and parties are held in a casual and fun atmosphere.

2nd “International Exchange Christmas Party” in FY2023
This time, we held an “International Exchange Christmas Party” with an expanded version that also included a general participation slot!

- Location: Yahatanishi General Lifelong Learning Center Conference Room
- Total participants: 50 ( Japanese: 29, Foreigners: 21)
[Details] International students: 15, Exchange volunteer families: 6 families (15 people), General: 20
- Activities: Culture introduction (Christmas in Australia, New Year in Indonesia), group talk and games, bingo game, present exchange etc.
1st “Exchange Meeting for International Students and Residents” in FY2023
Our first exchange session of FY2023 was big hit amongst our international students and exchange volunteers.

- Total participants: 28(7 international students, 21 exchange volunteers)
- Activities: Self-Introduction with dice, Find your Japanese family!, Gesture game, Paper tower challenge, Interactive chatting time etc.

Our second exchange session of FY2022 was big hit amongst our international students and exchange volunteers.

- Activities: Self-Introduction ＆ Bingo game, Find your Japanese family!, Pyramid challenge & beads relay, Gift exchange etc.

FY 2021 “Exchange Meeting for International Students and Residents”
This event was held with the intent of fostering friendship and mutual understanding amongst international students and local Japanese residents.
